The first global and efficient solution to ban chromium or fluorated components for passivation / conversion operations in galvanizing lines.

The target of Silicalloy project is to replace "chromation" after galvanizing or other toxic solution by a new and efficient application. Silicalloy is issued from R&D supported by ArcelorMittal, Corus Group and regional Belgian government.

Validation was done on pilot line and the product fulfil ArcelorMittal requirements.

Now, the product is manufactured by DE LEUZE company, supplier of chemical specialities for the steel industry since 1909. The product is applied in accordance with the expertise of CMI, leader in the design, manufacturing and maintenance of industrial equipment, notably for galvanizing lines.
